What to expect during your apprenticeship

In the first year of apprenticeship, the following training contents are learned:
- Basic skills in elementary metalworking: this includes the classic manufacturing processes such as filing, drilling, turning, milling, thread cutting and bending sheet metal
- Manufacturing of individual components via conventional machining or on CNC-controlled machines for BUHMANN packaging machines
- Handling and application of various measuring & testing methods for quality assurance and control of the production parts

After the first year of apprenticeship, the various training focuses come into play. In the focus machine & plant engineering you will be specifically introduced to the construction of BUHMANN packaging machines. During the assembly of the individual assemblies and cooperation during commissioning, the technical context and the functioning of the machines will open up to you.
